Test Equipment

During the installation and operation of electrical systems and machinery, it is necessary to perform numerous testing and measurement tasks. Our test instruments support you in carrying out these inspections and simplify the entire process.

We currently offer the following test equipment models:

  • PGL 20: Protection test set for line protection devices in the utility sector
  • PMD 5000: Photovoltaic characteristic curve meter for PV modules

Protection Test Set PGL 20

The PGL 20 is a testing device for line protection equipment that allows periodic maintenance work to be carried out in a simple manner. The PGL 20 is intended for regular routine inspections as well as initial testing and commissioning. For performing rapid tests, the test set is equipped with a test plug and up to 99 possible test programs. These test programs can be created and modified using the program editor. Thanks to the integrated USB interface, test programs can be transferred to and from the device, saved, and printed as text files. Consequently, test programs only need to be created once, and the tests can then be easily performed by trained personnel.

The PGL 20 is used for functional testing of, for example:

  • Distance protection relays, power directional relays, time-overcurrent protection (UMZ), load shedding
  • Voltage, frequency, vector shift, asymmetry, and reverse power relays
  • Synchro-check relays, directional ground fault relays (50Hz, 250Hz), transducers
