Ultra-Clean – Highly Absorbent – Extremely Safe

Low disposal costs – Non-hazardous to health!
At compact electric, you will find a wide variety of oil absorbents, universal sorbents, and chemical binders – all featuring SPC absorbent fleeces – for numerous applications.
The materials consist of very lightweight and highly absorbent polypropylene fleece fibers. These are available in various designs for the safe removal of spilled and leaked liquids or oil accidents on land and water.

Why are clean and dry workplaces important?

  • Common causes of workplace accidents: slipping, tripping, falling.
  • An average of 11 sick days per workplace accident.
  • Average cost of EUR 37,000 per accident.
  • 70% of workplace accidents occur on level surfaces.
  • All oil, universal, and chemical absorbents are:
    Dust-free – Lightweight – Absorbent and durable – Mold-resistant
  • The materials do not generate dust and produce little to no lint (depending on the model).
  • Very low dead weight, resulting in minimal disposal costs.
  • Within a few seconds, they absorb 12 to 25 times their own weight in liquid – depending on the specific fluid. (Granulates only absorb 1.5 times their own weight.)
  • The melt-blown polypropylene fibers (absorbent fleeces) have an enormous surface area to absorb large quantities of liquid.
  • This allows for long dwell times at workstations – without compromising safety.
Material changes are rarely necessary (e.g., for rolls, mats, and wipes).
  • Long shelf life, does not rot, no mold formation.

Suitable for use in industry, laboratories, workshops, maritime, sewage treatment plants, etc.

Our oil absorbents, universal, and chemical sorbent fleeces are suitable for indoor, outdoor, and marine use. This includes maintenance and repair with low to high foot traffic, walkways with varying frequencies, production areas with high mechanical stress and low linting tendencies, laboratories, or for cleaning hazardous chemicals. Specialized versions are available for water bodies requiring high durability and buoyancy, as well as for sewage and filter systems requiring high absorption capacity and minimal fiber shedding.

Scafftag

Imagine any piece of equipment on your site:

  • How do you know if this item is safe to use?
  • When was it last inspected?
  • How can you clearly identify it among a multitude of similar items on site?

When up-to-date information is unavailable, most people tend to make assumptions. Such assumptions can lead to decisions that are potentially harmful to both individuals and the company. That is why the identity, maintenance, and inspection status of every piece of equipment is extremely important.

Visual Tagging Systems?

Visual safety control systems serve the following purposes:

  • They clearly display the current inspection and test status of equipment directly at the point of use.
  • They record an audit trail of the most recent maintenance, testing, and inspection work performed.
  • They provide clear identification of equipment.
  • They support compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • They help reduce accidents in the workplace.

We offer visual safety control systems for work at height, plant and machinery, vehicles, tools, workplace control, as well as industrial processes and pipelines.

1983 saw the market launch of the first innovative visual safety systems for scaffolding. Since then, the brand name "Scafftag®" has become synonymous with scaffold inspection labeling.

Since that time, various tags and holders have been developed for maintenance and inspection management, such as for:

  • Ladders
  • Lifting equipment
  • Forklifts
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Mobile towers and masts
  • Steps and stools
  • Machinery and electrical equipment
  • Safety harnesses and
  • Lockout/Tagout devices.
